Aushco Commercial Real Estate (“Aushco,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides commercial real estate brokerage, property management, maintenance, and medical and healthcare real estate services in Maryland and Northern Virginia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through aushco.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on the Site, send us an email, or call us, you may give us information such as:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • How you would describe yourself, for example a property owner, investor, business owner, or tenant.
  • The property, location, or business need your message is about, including the details of any maintenance or service request.
  • Anything else you choose to include in your message.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our systems and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, the website that referred you, and how you interact with the Site. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Property listings

The listings on our Properties page are provided through an embedded search tool hosted by Buildout, a commercial real estate marketing platform. When you search, filter, or send an inquiry through that tool, Buildout may collect information about you under its own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions, inquiries, and service requests.
  • Provide and coordinate our brokerage, property management, and maintenance services.
  • Send you follow-up and welcome emails and other communications you have asked for or that relate to your inquiry.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site and understand which pages and services interest visitors.
  • Measure the performance of our marketing and advertise our services.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, our clients, and our property.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that store small files on your device. We use them to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. Services we use include:

  • HubSpot, which powers our contact forms, customer relationship management, email, analytics, and advertising tools.
  • Google Tag Manager and Google advertising and analytics services, which help us measure visits and the results of our advertising, including through Google Ads conversion tracking.
  • Google Maps and Google Fonts, which display maps and typefaces on some pages.

Where a cookie banner is shown, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the Site may not work as intended. Google provides tools to manage its advertising settings at adssettings.google.com and to opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent it to anyone. We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the Site and our business, such as HubSpot, Google, Buildout, and our website hosting and security providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • To carry out your request. For example, if you submit a maintenance or service request, we may share the details with the property owner, manager, or contractor who needs them to complete the work.
  • Professional advisors. Our attorneys, accountants, and insurers, where needed.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aushco, our clients, or others.
  • Business changes. If Aushco is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Some state privacy laws treat certain advertising cookies as “sharing” or “sale” of personal information. You can limit this by declining non-essential cookies or by using the opt-out tools described above.

5. Email Communications

If you submit a form on the Site, we may send you a short series of welcome and follow-up emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by contacting us. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send you messages about a service you have requested.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services, maintain our business records, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. After that, we delete it or remove information that identifies you.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or bank account numbers through our contact forms or by email.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to stop receiving marketing communications, or to raise a concern about how we use your information. Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights under state law, such as the right to confirm whether we process your personal information, to obtain a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by law.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for business and property owners and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to other websites and services, including our social media pages on LinkedIn and Facebook and the Buildout listing tool. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
